How to assign points for a Likert scale question?

This is a common question from people who ask their customers how satisfied they are. For example, you might want feedback on your ordering experience, with 5 points for Extremely satisfied and 1 point for Extremely dissatisfied. A quiz in Google Forms gives points only to the correct answers, so it cannot score a likert scale. With Formfacade, you can use the SCORE function to assign points for the answer choices in the multiple choice question and calculate the score. The score is worked out as each customer fills the form. Even better, the form will have your own branding instead of Google's, so the feedback form looks like it came from your business.

Let's start. Create your form and follow the steps below.

  • Scroll down to the end of the form and click on the gear icon on the last "After page" row, above the Submit button. It says "After page 1" on a form with one page. The panel can take a few seconds to open, so click once.
  • Button settings page will be displayed. Click On submit. Select Show customized message for this button.
  • Delete the message that is there and type your own. Click on the @ option, select the Score question and click Save.

Summary

If each answer on your likert scale needs its own points, a quiz in Google Forms cannot do it. With Formfacade, you write the SCORE function in Calculate with the points for each answer choice and the score is calculated in the form. Create your form and complete the steps above. If you have any questions, write to support.
