How to view responses in google forms?

This is a common question from people who have shared their first Google Form and want to see what people answered. The page you edit only shows your questions, so the first time it is not obvious where the answers go or how to read them by question or by person. Google Forms keeps them on its Responses tab, as a summary, by question or by person, but your team has to be an editor on the form to see them. With Formfacade, you can see them on the Responses tab and open them in Google Forms from there. Even better, you can see each response as a card on a Kanban board and sync them all to Google Sheets for your team.

Let's start. Create your form and follow the steps below.

How to get your responses into Google Forms?

  • On the page that opens, name your form, click Embed form and click Proceed. It can take about a minute.
  • You will land on the form's "Share" tab, on Embed. The top bar may say "Blank Formfacade form" until you reload the page.
  • Click on "Responses" tab

  • Click Submit to Google Forms
  • "Submit responses to Google Forms?" popup will be displayed. Click Proceed

If the button already says View in Google Forms, your responses are already going to Google Forms. Only the responses submitted after you click Proceed will reach Google Forms.
  • Click on "Share" tab

  • Click Link, then click Open to open your form
  • Fill the form and submit it, so that you have a response to see

How to view the responses?

  • Click on "Responses" tab. Your responses are displayed here, one at a time
  • Click View in Google Forms to see them all together. Your form's responses will open in Google Forms

  • Summary of form responses will be displayed by default
  • You can also choose to view responses by question or by individual form respondents.

Summary

If people are filling in your form, the questions page will not show you their answers. With Formfacade, you click Responses to see them and View in Google Forms to see the summary and you can also view the responses by question or by individual form respondents.
