How can I change the Submit button text in Google Forms?

This is a common question from Google Forms users who take registrations or orders. A button that says Submit does not tell people what happens next and a Register or Place Order button reads better. Google Forms does not let you change this text, so the button says Submit in every form you make. With Formfacade, you can change the submit button text and your users will see your words on the button. Even better, you can send them to your own thank-you page after they click it.

Let's start. Create your form and follow the steps below.

How to change the default "Submit" button text?

  • On the page that opens, name your form, click Build form and click Proceed. It can take about a minute.
  • You will land on the form's "Preview" tab.
  • Click on "Edit" tab
The tabs Edit, Preview, Share and Responses, with Edit marked
  • Scroll down to the end of the form and click on the gear icon on the last "After page" row. It says "After page 1" on a form with one page. The panel can take a few seconds to open, so click once.
  • If it asks "Button not configured!", click No.

  • Button settings panel will be displayed
  • Enter the required button text in Caption and click on the Save button

You can also click on the Submit card at the end of the form and type the button text there.
The default "Submit" button text will be replaced with the text added in Caption. For example, you can have a "Register" button in your registration forms.

Summary

If Submit is not the right word for your form, you cannot change it in Google Forms. With Formfacade, you can enter your own button text in Caption, such as Register and your users will see it in place of Submit. Create your form and complete the steps above.
